Abstract: One of the most important landscapes in the 20th century is the rise of women. Social forms affect ideology and culture. With the progress and development of society, historically disadvantaged female groups shout out in silence and wake up in the social status and living state of strong male and weak female, superior male and inferior female. The idea of male superiority and female inferiority has been deeply rooted in China for thousands of years, and the rise of feminism in China is driven by the dual role of "passive acceptance" and "active reflection". The further development of feminism makes China measure gender relations again in the gender theory that men are the first sex and women are the second sex. In the bold exploration of gender aesthetics, feminist related literary works also appear in an endless succession and gradually occupy an important position in the literary system. This paper mainly discusses the reasons for the emergence of Chinese feminist literature in the 20th century from three aspects: cultural dissemination, policy support and consciousness awakening.
