On June 11, Consul General Choi Heeduk and Cultural Consul Kang Sookyoung from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang visited Liaoning University. They were received by Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of LNU.
President Yu Miaojie extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests and provided an overview of Liaoning University, highlighting its key disciplines and the history of exchanges and collaborations with Korean institutions. President Yu mentioned that the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the trilateral cooperation mechanism among China, Japan, and Korea signifies a new phase in their collaboration. He expressed hope that Liaoning University would seize this opportunity to strengthen cooperation with Korean universities and enterprises, fostering deeper exchanges between Korean sectors and the university. He also mentioned that the university would actively participate in and promote cooperative projects under the guidance of the provincial government, aiming to enhance bilateral exchanges.
Consul General Choi Heeduk stated that the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang has been committed to promoting cultural, social, and academic exchanges between China and Korea. In April this year, the Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, Hao Peng, visited Korea, laying a solid foundation for cooperation between the two sides. He expressed hope that both parties would enhance academic exchanges on this basis, jointly organize academic seminars on the Korean language teaching, cultivate outstanding Korean language talents, and play an active role in various fields, becoming a bridge of friendship between China and Korea.
Vice President Huo Chunhui extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests and expressed commitment to actively promoting cooperation between both sides. He also expressed hope that the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang could assist in enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two sides, support our graduates to further their studies in Korea, and advance collaboration and promotion efforts to attract more Korean students to LNU.
